Administration - Protect: Severance and Income Protection benefits

Recently, Protect took over direct management of the member contact centre and severance administration.

This change will enable Protect to have a better understanding of the needs of members and participating employers. It will also allow the scheme to be more responsive.

The Protect contact centre and administration services were previously outsourced to a private company.

Managing the contact centre and severance administration is a significant change. It requires substantial investment in staff training, the development of new processes and the implementation of new systems.

As part of the change in administration, Protect is now issuing printed severance account statements. Member statements will now be issued every six months and we plan to introduce other new member services in the coming months.

The improvement in member communications is another way in which Protect is changing to better meet your needs. We appreciate your patience during the transition and we look forward to Protect providing you with an improved service into the future.
